Position Description: Do you have experience as an Epidemiologist? The Prevention, Treatment, and Care Program at the Utah Department of Health needs you as a HIV or Communicable Disease Epidemiologist I to analyze, summarize and review data and to report findings to the Centers for Disease Control(CDC), the Utah Department of Health, Local Health Departments (LHDs), and the public. You need to have the ability to use analytic software, specifically SAS, to manage and analyze complex datasets; and to compose and produce technical reports, documents and other relatable materials. You also need to be able to use logic to perform quality assurance activities and ensuring data accuracy. As the HIV Epidemiologist you need to identify and address HIV/AIDS related stigmas and a desire to reduce stigmas through your work. A knowledge of communicable disease transmission, process and control, relating to HIV is required.
