Position Description: Under the direction of the Rocky Mountain Tribal Epidemiology Center (RMTEC) Director, the Project Manager will be primarily responsible for providing supervisory oversight of RMTEC projects and grants on a daily, annual, and project basis. The Project Manager will be tasked with preparing program reports, providing budgetary supervision of project expenditures, and liaising with funding agencies, staff, collaborators, and other Tribal Leaders Council programs

Qualifications: At least five years of experience in a related management role; supervision of project staff, grants, contracts, program management, business administration, etc. • Master’s degree in Public Health preferred, but other areas of study would be considered • Must be able to communicate effectively orally, in writing and deliver clear, effective public presentations with ability to respond to questions. Ability to conform to varied work schedule when appropriate, (i.e. weekends, emergencies, etc.) and be able to meet deadlines • Experience working in tribal communities is desired • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with programs, departments, other organizations, and agencies • Exhibit ethical and professional behavior in all facets of this position • Work independently, with minimal supervision, in a team-based atmosphere • Experience with social marketing and media development a plus • American Indian/ Alaska Native preferred • Veteran’s preference will be considered

Organization Description: RMTEC serves Tribes on eight Reservations and five Urban Indian Health Offices in Montana and Wyoming – an American Indian (AI) population of approximately 70,000 persons.
