Duties and Responsibilities:

This Environmental Supervisor II position is a leadership p a leadership position in the Environmental Health Divisio Health Division in the Onsite Sewage Treatment and Treatment and Disposal (OSTDS) unit, and has supervisory re supervisory responsibilities for staff including Envi including Environmental Supervisors, Environmental Environmental Specialists, and Clerical Staff in Barto Staff in Bartow and Winter Haven.

Plan work flows, objectives, and time utilization with employees to improve the quality and quantity of work performed. Coordinate the collection and analysis of data for the OSTDS program. Ensure 100% of the program’s services and inspections are complete completed at the required frequencies.

Prepare documents for enforcement procedures and and initiate legal action against envi environmental law violators. Coordinate and and review OSTDS enforcement activities with depa department legal counsel, state health offi office officials, and local OSTDS department staf staff.

Establish and implement an in-house cross-training program for all positions. Maintain training records for all employees.

Manage and supervise clerical staff so offices maintain consistency, efficiency, and effective permitting. Work with local Quality Assurance and state health office to identify administrative gaps and develop solutions to process improvement.

Conduct joint inspections with staff for purposes of quality assurance, training, or evaluation.

SEPTIC TANK CONTRACTOR & PUBLIC LIASON DUTIES

ADMINISTRATIVE

The incumbent is expected to prepare monthly reports reports detailing all work activities within the OSTD the OSTDS program, and perform monthly quality quality assurance checks for inspections and permits permits and submit them to the Environmental Administ Administrator.
