Position Description: Job Summary The Department of Health Services Management and Policy at the East Tennessee State University College of Public Health is recruiting for two full-time research faculty positions to lead targeted aspects of a multi-year research and evaluation project focused on reducing unintended pregnancy by expanding access to reproductive health services. The Research Associate/Research Director will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of investigators, staff and research assistants and provide expertise and implement logistics of key aspects of the project.

Key responsibilities include: • Coordinating efforts to update research and evaluation frameworks and operational objectives • Collaborating with implementation partners across the Southeastern US to communicate expectations and collect necessary quantitative and qualitative data • Supervision of study staff at satellite sites • Developing and overseeing the implementation of study participant recruitment and retention protocols • Oversight of the development and utilization of a data entry and management system and associated protocols • Ensuring all project-related activities are completed in a timely and high quality manner and within the budgeted funding amounts • Contributing to the development and dissemination of findings through reports, presentations, journal articles, and other appropriate mechanisms • Travel to meetings and/or study sites is expected

Qualifications: Required Qualifications Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree and three to five years of work experience in program evaluation or research methods. A doctoral degree with an emphasis on research or evaluation methods may be substituted for work experience.

Preferred Qualifications Academic training in public health, epidemiology, social sciences, leadership, administration, or a related field. Training and experience related to process evaluation and/or longitudinal data collection methods.
