Position Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic environmental epidemiologist to join the Food and Waterborne Disease Program team at the Florida Department of Health. The selected candidate will join a team of regional environmental epidemiologists that have over 200 years of experience in environmental health and outbreak investigations. The position is based in Jacksonville, Florida and serves seven county health departments (CHDs) with a population of 1.9 million residents. The CHDs have the primary responsibility for food and waterborne disease investigations in Florida and this position provides technical assistance to support these activities. In addition, this position will assist in the development and delivery of training and guidance documents, quality improvement activities and agency coordination. This position serves as a liaison with the Florida Department of Health Food and Waterborne Disease Program Manager based in Tallahassee and will work closely with our laboratory partners at BPHL.

Qualifications: MPH with formal training in epidemiology is required. Experience in food and waterborne disease investigations, food safety, and environmental public health is desired.
