Position Description: This is a Data Analyst position with the NH Environmental Public Health Tracking Program. The position is responsible for conducting data analysis related to environmental public health surveillance, and managing the design and implementation of web-based dashboards to visualize the data.

This position is expected to act as a technical subject matter expert for environmental public health surveillance activities.

Qualifications: Education: Master's degree from a recognized university with major study in environmental health, epidemiology, biostatistics,public health, earth science, or a related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Four years' experience in the design, development, or management of programs for the collection, analysis and reporting of data preferably in the area of public health or human services program management, with responsibility for program planning, monitoring and evaluation. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

• Analyzes data to support the Environmental Public Health Tracking Program. • Develops dashboards and data briefs to communicate findings to public health partners. • Makes recommendations for data quality improvement by evaluating existing data systems to augment the environmental health data tracking system. • Evaluates environmental health priorities to ensure coordination with other federal, state and local agencies. • Prepares summary reports which increase the understanding of the relationship between environmental factors, social determinants of health, and health outcomes. • Provides technical assistance to partners collecting or analyzing environmental health data collection activities, and contributes to the interpretation of results. • Evaluates IT and data needs related to the EPHT Data Portal and develops recommendations on how to meet those needs.
