- Direct the design, development, implementation and maintenance of a data infrastructure, including secure storage, across multiple projects.
-Manage data acquisition, storage, cleaning, coding, and linkage of complex data across multiple projects; assure successful completion of all data management activities.
-Create research databases across multiple projects; oversee effective and timely operation of research data systems.
-Perform data extraction and reporting across multiple project.
-Conduct research studies and analysis of project data.
-Collaborate with researchers in report generation for granting agency, as well as manuscript preparation for publication. Assist with report generation and presentation of findings.
-Maintain effective communication with project leaders and key partners in other states, including state and local health departments, community health centers, and health care providers.
-Interpret and apply research policies and procedures, and maintain compliance with University, state and federal policies and guidelines for data security and management.
-Travel to and participate in on- site data collection sessions in South Carolina.
-Ensure expenditures are within budgeted amounts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: -Knowledge of quantitative research and evaluation methodologies for the social sciences.
-Ability to use SAS, STATA, or R statistical software packages for data management and analysis.
-Knowledge of relational database management systems and SQL language. -Knowledge of computers including word processing, presentation, data entry and analysis software. -Ability to comprehend and prepare complex data for analysis and reporting.
-Knowledge of electronic health record software, statistical software, spreadsheet and word processing software.
-Knowledge of technical writing, budgeting, and program evaluation.
-Ability to work independently.
-Ability to prepare manuscripts and evaluation reports for publication and dissemination.
-Ability to coordinate multiple resources and tasks.
Master’s degree, preferably in Public Health/Social Sciences, statistics, or a related field; training in research methodology and statistical analysis; two to three years of experience in research project data management preferred; previous experience in a university environment preferred.
