Position Description: The Institute for International Programs (IIP) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is leading the development of new tools to assist countries and partners in implementing strong measurement approaches for MNCH&N programs. This project, known as the Real Accountability: Data Analysis for Results (RADAR) Project, is currently developing tools and validating their application in low-income country settings. This position is for a quality of care expert with maternal and child health experience to contribute to the development and application of a quality of care assessment tool.

This is a full-time faculty position (Research Associate level) within the International Health department. The position may include regular travel to the project countries.

Specific responsibilities will include: | Supporting team members in development of ISA and QOC tools, including: | Background research and consultation to identify globally-recognized indicators and methods for collecting process and output data | Supporting experts consultancy meetings to finalize tools | Developing and testing tools to capture implementation strength and/or quality of care of maternal, child health, nutrition and sexual, reproductive health programs Creating and testing electronic tools to collect these data (CAPI) | Supporting field-based implementation of tools

Qualifications: Strong written and spoken French skills | Master’s degree in Public Health, International Development, or related field | Previous international program coordination/management experience preferred Demonstrated knowledge (success in a class counts) or previous experience in evaluation | Aptitude and interest in quantitative aspects of evaluation (e.g., indicators, measurement) | Good at working intensively alone as needed, but also in teams to produce results | Strong, concise and clear scientific writing would be a plus | Flexibility, creativity, and willingness to help where and when needed would be a plus
