Position Description: Under general direction, working in a team environment, the IT Generalist will assist the IT Manager with daily network and server operations. Position is responsible for maintaining major components of IT infrastructure including, network, server, data storage, data backup and disaster recovery unit. Responsible for maintaining IT documentation and creating/updating standard operating procedures for all IT related systems. Prepares and presents information on system functionality and makes recommendations regarding changes to improve services. The position will, as needed, assist with all technical support activities within IT. Assists with staff development programs and training for both IT employees and Health Department users.

Qualifications: Associates degree in computer science or rel related field and 3 years related experience or or a Masters or Bachelors degree in computer sci science or related field and 1 or more years rel related experience.

Required experience includes personal c computer and network support and t troubleshooting experience including e extensive experience with current Windows d desktop and server operating systems. E Experience with specification, procurement, i installation, configuration, maintenance a and/or enhancement of Microsoft Office p products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access a and Outlook on Windows platforms. Experience w with configuring, troubleshooting and m managing a VMware virtual environment and m maintenance of McAfee ePolicy O Orchestrator.
