Position Description: Responsibilities: Working within the Bureau of Early Intervention in the New York Early Hearing Detection and Intervention program (NYEHDI), the incumbent will be part of a team responsible for reducing the loss to follow- up/documentation for infants born in New York State who did not receive or did not pass their newborn hearing screening test. The incumbent will assist with performing data analyses and ad hoc reporting within our data system, NYEHDI-IS.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field and two years of experience; OR an Associate's degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field and four years of experience; OR six years of experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications: A Master's degree in public health or epidemiology. Knowledge of/experience in maternal and child health, health research, collection and analysis of public health data, biostatistics, clinical research. Knowledge of public health and epidemiological concepts and implications. Knowledge of vital records datasets. Experience with SAS programming.
