Position Description: Responsibilities: The Evaluation Specialist III will work closely with managers to ensure completion of all Coverdell grant deliverables related to data systems development and management, data analysis, and quality improvement coordination. The selected candidate will manage data, analyze and use data to improve care and patient outcomes, coordinate quality improvement activities in support of the Stroke Designation Program, and, prepare presentations and statistical reports of data and analytical findings.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in research, analysis, and/or evaluation of health-related programs or a related field OR an Associate’s degree and five years of such experience OR seven years of such experience. Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and risk adjustment methodologies. Strong background and professional experience with data systems development and management, data methodologies, statistics and software tools, relational databases and linkages of large, complex administrative data systems. Preparation of statistical reports for public presentation. Experience with risk adjustment methodologies. Proficient in the use of advanced SAS and/or SQL data management and statistical analysis techniques; proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, written and oral communication skills. Experience with extracting, sorting and merging of large health care datasets for the application of higher order analysis. Experience supervising staff.
