Position Description: The Program Coordinator will provide administrative oversight of the Community Based HIV/HCV Testing (CHT) Program (#TJStatus) including developing and implementing a system to ensure tracking, accuracy and reporting of data associated with the program and other HIV funding streams; submission of quarterly reports and other required reporting; and management of the program budget. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for setting the overall strategy for the program, prioritizing outreach strategies, and evaluation and quality improvement. The Program Coordinator will conduct testing as needed and will supervise two Outreach Workers. This position will also be responsible for engaging an internal team to plan and coordinate HIV services across the Thomas Jefferson Health District (City of Charlottesville and Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson Counties).

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: *Knowledge of public health and HIV/AIDS *Ability to work with diverse populations and understand, empathize, and remain ethically non-judgmental *Experience in the management and administration of community health programs *Knowledge of grants management principles and practices *Ability to gain confidence and cooperation of others *Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing *Ability to analyze situations, data, and documentation to arrive at sound objective conclusions *Ability to work independently and in diverse environments *Ability to perform phlebotomies in the field under the guidance and supervision of the Health Director *Ability to organize and interpret data *Required to maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to VDH’s driver safety policy *Bachelors degree in a related field Preferred Qualifications *Experience in managing and applying for grants *Experience in planning large community events *Masters degree in a related field
