Position Description: We seek an individual with a commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights who is willing to provide both research and administrative support to Ibis staff in Cambridge, MA. The Research Assistant will work with multiple study teams on new and ongoing US-based research projects, such as our work on telemedicine and the Hyde amendment, as well as on our global research portfolio. Tasks include, but are not limited to, data collection (paper- based and/or digital), entry, and management, protocol development, study team coordination, and overall project support. The research assistant will also support staff with administrative, development, and communications activities as needed.

Qualifications: Qualifications: Minimum: • Exposure to quantitative and/or qualitative research • Excellent computer skills (e.g. MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) • Experience working in teams with individuals of varying work styles and ability to manage multiple responsibilities on a range of projects • Ability to work independently • Self-starter, detail-oriented, highly organized, hardworking, and able to meet deadlines • Excellent writing and proofreading skills

We particularly welcome those who have: • Experience working on projects related to sexual and reproductive health and rights • Spanish/French language skills • Experience using quantitative software (SPSS or Stata) and qualitative software (ie Atlas.ti, Dedoose, or MaxQDA) • Experience searching for and identifying scientific literature, especially in public health • Ability to travel • Sense of humor

Organization Description: Ibis Reproductive Health is a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve women’s reproductive autonomy, choices, and health worldwide. Our core activity is clinical and social science research on issues receiving inadequate attention in other research settings and where gaps in the evidence exist. Our agenda is driven by women’s priorities and focuses on increasing access to safe abortion, expanding contraceptive access and choices, and integrating HIV and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services. We partner with advocates, health care providers, policymakers, and other stakeholders who use our research to improve policies and delivery of services in countries around the world, and further reproductive justice and equity.
