Position Description: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) seeks applicants for the 2018 class of the CDC Evaluation Fellowship Program. This is the 8th year of this initiative, and represents a major commitment by CDC to program evaluation and program improvement. Fellows work under the leadership of CDC's Chief Evaluation Officer; they will be matched with CDC host programs in Atlanta, Georgia to work on program evaluation activities for/with those programs.

Qualifications: •PhD or master’s degree in evaluation, behavioral and social sciences, public health, and other disciplines relevant to CDC’s work.

•Qualifying degree must be completed by end of of spring semester 2018 and posted to their off official transcript by June 2018, or have bee been earned within the past five (5) years.

•Successful applicants also typically have ex experience in applied evaluation projects.

Organization Description: This program, administered by ORAU through its contract with the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, was established through an interagency agreement between DOE and CDC. The initial appointment is for one year, but may be renewed upon recommendation of CDC contingent on the availability of funds. The participant will receive a monthly stipend commensurate with educational level and experience. Proof of health insurance is required for participation in this program. The appointment is full-time at CDC in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. Participants do not become employees of CDC, DOE or the program administrator, and there are no employment-r related benefits. related benefits.
