Position Description: The Johns Hopkins Center for American Indian Health (Center) is seeking an Assistant Data Analyst to help with data related tasks for several behavioral health research studies/programs. These include program evaluations, secondary analyses of data, and randomized controlled trials. Content areas include, but are not limited to, gestational diabetes, early childhood obesity, early onset type 2 diabetes, teen pregnancy and STI prevention, and adolescent entrepreneurship as an approach mental health and well-being. We are hiring an Assistant Data Analyst to help with data cleaning, quality control, and analyses as well as manuscript preparation where applicable. This position is based in the Center’s Baltimore, MD –based office at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and reports to the Senior Data Analyst on the behavioral health team.

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

1) Development of QA/QC do-files for randomized controlled trial data and examine for errors on a regular basis (every 2 weeks).

2) Updating REDCap assessments as needed.

3) Completing analyses in Stata and producing reports for Edible School Gardens and/or Native Vision evaluations.

4) Conducting related literature reviews as needed.

5) Working on a series of secondary analyses and manuscripts examining gestational diabetes and birth outcomes.

6) Helping with other related analyses and manuscripts as needed.

Qualifications: Education & Experience • Master’s Degree in in Public Health (MPH, MSPH, MHS) with coursework in biostatistics and epidemiology (required) • Experience cleaning and analyzing data (required) • Proficient in Stata Statistical Software (required) • Experience using Refworks (preferred) • Experience using REDCap (preferred)
