Position Description: The Communications Manager is a critical member of the C-TAC team and plays an essential role in developing C-TAC’s message and external communications. The position works closely with staff across the organization and reports to the Communications and Outreach Director.

The manager will be responsible for supporting C-TAC priority projects; developing external communication materials; assisting in planning C-TAC’s annual summit; managing media outreach; and supervise social media platforms. The ideal candidate is a mission-driven communication professional with great attention to detail, and a passion for our work. Applicants must be able to learn quickly, work collaboratively, and drive projects independently. They will be comfortable with a shared leadership structure, and committed to working in diverse and cross- functional teams.

Responsibilities ? Communications support for C-TAC priority projects focused on policy advocacy, clinical and payment model design, family caregivers, and state and community organizing ? Development of external communication materials (press releases, blog posts, graphics, event marketing, etc.) and dissemination plans ? Marketing and planning support for C-TAC’s National Summit on Advanced Illness Care and other events ? Manage media outreach and pitching press on upcoming releases ? Maintain media list ? Organizing daily clips for staff and affiliates ? Manage social media platforms ? Other program support as needed

Qualifications: Requirements ? Bachelor’s degree in communications, political science, or related field ? Two to four years of relevant experience ? Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and commitment to providing high quality work with a service- oriented approach ? Superior research and writing skills ? Ability to work with multiple team members ? Interest in advocacy, politics, and public policy ? Mastery of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) ? Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign) preferred

We will achieve this by empowering consumers, changing the health delivery system, improving public and private policies, and enhancing provider capacity. Founded by Co-Chairs of the Board of Directors, Tom Koutsoumpas and Bill Novelli, C-TAC is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, D.C. and is funded by grants and the support of members.
