Position Description: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare, has an opp opportunity to provide programmatic and adm administrative support for global child hea health initiatives and related projects.

Some duties will include: 1. Coordinate logistics for domestic and international project meetings, including travel arrangements for staff, consultants, and members, meeting facilities, meals, transportation, compiling agenda materials, meeting minutes, and completing and processing expense reports. Provide on-site a assistance as needed. 2. Coordinate and track consulting agreements and subcontracts. Process and track all monthly expenses and provide status updates to supervisor and relevant program managers. Run financial reports using the AAP-financial management systems a as requested by supervisor. 3. Manage contract with Web provider for external program websites (ie. NCD Child), including negotiating scope of work and identifying gaps in service and additional needs for web-content. 4. Schedule all team program meetings w with external partners; develop agenda and p produce a meeting summary for all p participants. 5. Develop and update global child health programs content for the AAP Global Web site and social media accounts; develop content for program-specific Web sites and pages pages, including the Intranet; manage conte content for the team Intranet pages. 6. Create and disseminate project comm communication and education tools including info infographics, fact sheets, and issues brie briefs. 7. Support program managers in working wit with project technical advisors to develop con content curriculum for trainings, workshops, and and other grant deliverables, including con conducting literature reviews, editing tec technical content, and developing survey too tools. 8. Assist with preparation of required pr program funding reports, grant reporting ma materials, and other written materials and do documents according to funder requirements. 9. Gather and synthesize information f from summary reports, site visits, and e external sources to produce reports s supporting related project deliverables.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess: 1. Bachelors degree in public health, h health administration, health policy, health e education, or related discipline or an e equivalent combination of relevant education a and work experience required. 2. Two to three years’ related a administrative and/or project coordination e experience required, including some meeting p planning, budget tracking, and/or Web site m maintenance. 3. Experience in a health-related environment or non-profit association p preferred, as well as knowledge of global h health issues and in program promotion and m marketing. 4. Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication, and diplomacy skills required. Strong technical acumen with proficiency in MS Office required; experience with MS Publisher, Adobe Suite, Web management software (ie: SharePoint, Umb Umbraco), and preferred. 5. Must be able to proactively manage mu multiple projects simultaneously within ti tight deadlines; collaborate effectively wi with various internal and external co constituents; handle a heavy workload; work bo both independently and as part of a team; th think creatively; and pay close attention to de detail. 6. Fluency in a foreign language p preferred. Some travel, overtime and weekend w work may be required.
