Position Description: Are you a skilled professional that enjoys programming, troubleshooting and managing web-based applications critical to the success of an organization? If this is you, apply to join our Environmental Health Division as Programmer, Online Food Worker Card Class system. This is a Regular, Full- time (1.0 FTE) position.

This position will serve as the lead in support and development of the online food worker card class system. The online food worker card class system serves all local health jurisdictions in the State of Washington. The system provides food worker education for over 300,000 food workers each year, increasing knowledge of safe food handling processes and decreasing the occurrence of food borne illness in the community. Some of what you'll do: •Design, code, test and implement fixes and enhancements to the application •Support and troubleshooting the application, infrastructure and services •Document application, system specifications and services •Coordinate and manage vendors in support and development of the application What you bring to the table: •Knowledge of and skill in ASP.Net, MVC, C#, MS SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript •Skill in designing and coding applications •Skill in planning and organizing work activities to meet established objectives. •Ability to pass a background investigation. •Desirable but not required: Knowledge of AWS, project management and infrastructure design and maintenance.

Qualifications: A bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field; And, three years of information systems experience involving software systems design and development, programming, system administration and analysis within a network environment; Or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience leading IT system projects and/or systems design desired.

Ability to pass a background investigation.
