The Division of Public Health in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine is seeking faculty members with an earned terminal degree (MD, PhD, DrPH) and expertise in one or more of the five core disciplines of Public Health (biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health, health policy and administration, and social behavioral science). These positions will be located at our Extended Program in Kpong, Ghana.
These faculty positions will require teaching, research, administrative responsibilities, and academic service. Candidates should possess an earned doctoral degree in public health or related field and have experience in an academic setting consistent with the rank of assistant professor or higher at the time of appointment. Faculty rank and salary level will be commensurate with experience. The University of Utah offers a competitive benefits package.
The University of Utah delivers the MPH curriculum at our Extended Program site at the Ensign Campus located in Kpong, Ghana. The educational program is an extension of our programming in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA) and Songdo (South Korea) with a global perspective appropriate for the student body. We anticipate that the majority of students hail from West Africa and will intend to remain in the region as public health practitioners. The campus facilities were constructed beginning in 2013 utilizing the best available technology including campus-wide wireless internet access. On-campus housing is available for faculty members.
