Position Description: As a Sr. Research Associate, you will work with the Science team in the accomplishment of varying evaluation, research management, and development activities. Primary content areas in the SBHW portfolio include: school-based we wellness center development and evaluation, trauma based wellness center development and evaluation, trauma-informed services, LBGTQ issues; tobacco prevention, HIV prevention, and others; and ETR’s K12T9 Initiative, which focuses on eliminating, preventing, and addressing sexual- and gender-based harassment in K-12 schools. The following r responsibilities are assigned: • Serves as Project Director on s selected projects and has primary r responsibility for carrying out the design a and implementation of selected project t tasks, including but not limited to: i instrument development, literature reviews, n needs assessments, content and data a analysis, individual and focus group i interviews, and classroom observations. • Tracks and assesses status of tasks f for research projects; assists with m monitoring budgets. • Supervises project staff, includes m maintaining positive, productive staff m morale. • Collaborates with senior research s staff and provides technical assistance to E ETR staff as needed. • Helps design and refine Department r research protocols (e.g., publications p processes). • Develops project ideas, writes grant p proposals with support, and prepares project r reports. • Develops presentations, authors and/or co-authors scholarly manuscripts, and a actively participates in other visibility o opportunities to advance the SBHW crop. • Supports efforts to recruit new c clients through participating in marketing a and outreach activities. • Develops and delivers effective and e engaging presentations for diverse audiences. • Maintains strong and stable r relationships with key clients and funders. • Participates in professional activities as appropriate (e.g., takes classes to enhance expertise, attends conferences, serves as co-PI or equivalent on on at least on award).

Qualifications: • Ph.D. in Psychology, Education, P Program Evaluation, Social Work, Public H Health or related area; educational b background in research and evaluation. • Content knowledge in School-Based H Health & Wellness preferred, including Title I IX. • Ability to support clients to address sensitive issues preferred, particularly around sexual- and gender-based h harassment, bullying, intimidation, and/or d discrimination. • Some research/evaluation experience d desirable, preferably in Health Education or r related field. • Strong organizational, analytic, w writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills r required. • Emerging track record of p publications. • Extensive content expertise in a s scientific field or area of work. • Skills in qualitative and q quantitative research methods, instrument d development, and statistical analysis r required. • Experience with SPSS, Excel, and o other similar software desirable. • Ability to manage and mentor junior s staff successfully. • Willingness to travel. Valid driver’s license; acceptable DMV record and p proof of insurance required.
