IHRC, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients.  The successful candidate will be a full- time employee of IHRC, Inc. and will be assigned to the Program Development and Services Branch (PDSB), Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP) in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP) at CDC, 4770 Buford Highway NE, Chamblee Campus, Building I02, Atlanta, GA 30341.


The Program Management Analyst will apply routine qualitative and quantitative methods for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of program policies, practices and procedures. This work will also involve providing program management support for all programs, including cooperative agreements, across the Program Development and Services Branch (PDSB).


  • Analyzing and evaluating the program management practices and methods, and support operations for programs across the Program Development and Services Branch (PDSB).
  • Communicating to teams various routine policies, guidelines, instructions, and procedures for program management requirements.
  • Evaluating policies and procedures to ensure that they are aligned with policies established at higher levels throughout the agency.
  • Applying analytical techniques to facilitate the compilation of information and assess program management procedures within the office.
  • Assisting with the development of forms, tracking devices, and implementation of any new automation systems to improve internal program management operations within the Branch.
  • Working with senior leadership, contract officer technical representatives, project officers, and subject matter experts within the Branch to facilitate the development of grant and contract related documents which may include the development of supporting documentation for review, approval, and execution by Branch management.
  • Compiling data and preparing program management status reports for review at all levels. Review internal processes and procedures and propose improvements to promote efficiency and cost savings.
  • Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of program management operations in meeting established goals and objectives and proposing areas and methods by which efficiency of operations can be improved.
  • Utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods to assess progress toward program goals and objectives.
  • Preparing reports and briefs based on program management activities.



Education and Experience:

  • Master of Public Health degree with at least two years of experience in a relevant field, or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least four years of experience in a relevant field, such as business administration and/or management, health administration, public health and/or health care administration, and project management.
  • Specific experience in public health or not-for-profit health/medical professional organization supporting program planning and budget administration, program development and management, and communications, publications.
  • Subject matter expertise in chronic health strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with state, local and nonprofit chronic health partners required.

Language Skills:

  • The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English   


  • Must be United States citizen or permanent resident or have authorization for employment in the United States
