2 years of experience is preferred.
Experience with biostatistical testing and proficiency with a major statistical software packgage (for example, SAS, R or S-Plus, etc.) is required.
The incumbent will provide biostatistical support for the UW Vision Research Core and departmental faculty, residents, fellows and staff. The incumbent will advise on study design and suitable analytic plans for a wide range of basic and translational research. S/he will conduct appropriate statistical analyses, prepare reports and provide power/sample size calculations.
The incumbent will also maintain quality control reports for inter-grader agreement by assembling data from various databases in various formats. The incumbent will create outcome reviews and identify data points in clinical trials that meet certain pre-specified criteria for ophthalmologist review at the end of the clinical trial. The data has to be presented in an easy to read format for ophthalmologists to conduct reviews. S/he will maintain efficiency reports by merging datasets from various databases to compile quarterly reports on productivity in evaluation, certification, and other tasks at the reading center based on independent variables.
The incumbent will assist Ophthalmologists and researchers analyze data for grant related research, as well as scientific presentations and publications on grants and contracts.
Experience with management and analysis of clinical trial data at a central coordinaton center, or imaging data, or genetic analyses, or large public research datasets, or longitudinal cohort data is preferred.
Ability to apply statistical techniques, summarize results and produce reports is required.
Experience working with diverse statistical sorftware packages is preferred.
Familiar with Xml, Excel, SQL is preferred.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Should have the ability to work independently and have excellent time managment skills.
