Position Description: The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry seeks a Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator works to successfully engage AACAP Committees; support AACAP research training awards programs; promotes program activities; and maintains and updates program database records and administrative files. The Research Coordinator is also responsible for providing administrative support to the Research, Grants, and Workforce Department (RGW). In collaboration with the Research, Grants, and Workforce Department, the Research Coordinator will: Serve as staff liaison for three AACAP member led committees; coordinate research training program award administration; support editing process for scientific proceedings journal; and provide support to the Director and RGW Department

Qualifications: 1-2 years related work experience is required. Candidates should be enthusiastic and possess very strong written and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and have an interest in children’s mental health issues or in working to support physicians. Candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team and maintain a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and excel databases. Previous work in non-profit or membership- based organizations is preferred.

The mission of AACAP is the promotion of the healthy development of children, adolescents, and families through advocacy, education, and research, and to meet the professional needs of child and adolescent psychiatrists throughout their careers.
