Position Description: McKing Consulting Corporation is a veteran-owned professional services corporation offering innovative management consulting support to the Federal and state government and private industries. McKing operates full service project offices in Atlanta, Georgia, and Rockville, Maryland. Currently, McKing provides a wide-range of technical assistance to public health programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). McKing is seeking highly motivated temporary Administrative Assistant to provide support to one of our clients at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The selected candidates will be supporting the client with the following administrative duties:

• Develops and processes ORISE and Title 42 personnel packages. • Develops, manages, and coordinates comprehensive systems regarding scientific and administrative reports and data. • Interacts with collaborators on their needs and provides them with information regarding the status of various studies and reports. • Develops and provides appropriate routing and tracking services for all incoming requests for information. • Develops, prepares, and delivers written, electronic, and telecommunications responses as requested. • Gathers information and assists in the management of budget reports to include tracking program income and expenses. • Based on discussions with Division management, reviews, updates, and or develops administrative directives to disseminate for Division support staff. • Coordinates submission, tracking and receipt of scientific publications within the Division and its interface to the CDC/NCEH publications clearance system. • Collects summary data from a variety of sources and enters data into a variety of formats including Excel spreadsheets and Word Documents. • Develops and provides schedule of scientific and programmatic activities to the Division and Center on a biweekly basis from information obtained from Branch Staff. • Utilizes knowledge of the Division's scientific programs to determine the appropriate management official or scientist to obtain any information necessary to develop and prepare responses to official correspondence as well as to prepare a variety of reports, articles, correspondence and abstracts. • Develops and prepares responses to official correspondence; edits and proofreads material; tracks response through the approval process; ensures final products are forward on or before deadline. Uses CDC's Documentum/e- clearance program to ensure proper clearance is granted on scientific and non-scientific information before release. • Plans, develops, coordinates and tracks travel requests using CDC specific systems. • Plans, develops, coordinates and tracks procurement actions ranging from small purchases to multi-million dollar purchases of equipment, and laboratory supplies. • Uses CDC’s Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE) system to enter and track procurement requests. • Develops system to maintain and track branches' maintenance agreements including equipment covered, periods of performance, costs and other data

Qualifications: Qualifications: Candidates must have a high school diploma and 4 years experience in providing administrative support. CDC experience is desired. Knowledge and competency in Microsoft software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Experience with CDC travel systems, and purchase orders are also desired. The candidate must be able to work in a busy and fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
