Position Description: The Community Health Services Division is seeking a Graduate Management Intern (GMI) for the City of Pasadena All Children Thrive and California Oral Health Programs. The GMI will work to support local capacity for implementation of the 2017 Greater Pasadena Community Health Improvement Plan for children’s oral health and overall well- being of children and families, with a focus on health equity. The Division is seeking to fill a limited term position immediately by way of an 18-month temporary assignment.

The primary job responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, assisting with the design and implementation of a community health assessment, evaluation of local resources, general program support, and implementation of a prioritized strategic plan to address the health needs of infants, children and families and other underserved or vulnerable populations. Key objectives for this placement include developing and supporting an advisory committee, conducting a limited needs assessment, implementing a health improvement plan, and working with community members.

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Master’s in Public Health or similar field with either academic or professional experience in data assessment, community engagement and grants management. Candidates with topical knowledge and/or interest in early childhood development and early health indicators preferred.
