Position Description: The JPS Center for Outcomes Research invites applications for an Epidemiologist position. The goal of the Center is to generate and implement evidence to optimize healthcare for populations that experience substantial barriers to care and health inequalities. The themes of the Center’s research portfolio currently includes pharmacoepidemiology, lifestyle factors and comorbidities, and quality of care, with anticipated growth into other topics. Our team of collaborative and energetic investigators are provided substantial support and infrastructure for career development.

We seek an Epidemiologist with an interest in cancer survivorship research. This position is part of a collaborative team that aims to identify and address the needs of underserved adult cancer survivors. Key duties for this position include:

1. Performing systematic reviews of the literature and critical assessment of the evidence.

2. Assessing study design or project implementation methods; working with research team to develop valid and feasible methods.

3. Participating in the development of data collection instruments and related training materials.

4. Synthesizing results of data analysis.

5. Contributing to the preparation of funding proposals and manuscripts for publication.

Qualifications: Applicants must have graduate training (MPH, MS, MSPH) in epidemiology or a quantitative public health concentration. Key personal traits include a growth mindset, collaborative mentality, and excellent communication skills. The anticipated start date is negotiable.
