Position Description: EvalGroup is conducting a city-wide survey in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Area and we are actively recruiting survey data collectors to support the survey field operations. The survey will be conducted in select community/neighborhoods and business corridors, collecting in-person data on citizen perception of government services. Data collectors will be engaged for the entire duration of the survey, including the pilot phase as well as final survey administration phase between Monday, July 3rd through Sunday, September 30th, 2018. Data collectors will work independently and/or in teams visiting door-to-door at businesses, apartment leasing offices and public community spaces to collect survey data. We have 10 positions open for the role of data collectors and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all 10 positions are filled.

Responsibilities • Responsible for day-to day field data collection in assigned communities/neighborhoods/business corridors in the City of Charlotte • Performs in-person data collection, working with other team members and/or independently for the duration of the study • Participates in every two-days check-in meetings with Survey Supervisor(s) providing updates, progress, feedback and process improvement during data collection phase • Participates in a one-day in-person orientation, training and simulation exercise to understand purpose of survey and survey data collection process • Adheres to survey data collection rules of operation • Coordinates with other team members and supervisor to ensure data collection is completed in timely fashion and study material such as a handheld tablet is charged ahead of time to ensure seamless data collection. • Exercise good judgment in problem solving and maintain open lines of communication between other team members and supervisor. • Answer questions in a positive and constructive manner. Redirect other issues and complex questions to Supervisor, immediately at the end of every survey.

Qualifications: • This opportunity is open to individuals between the ages of 18- 28 years. • Undergraduate degree in public health, social work, social sciences, urban planning, public administration, research, communications or related field preferred. • Bilingual in English and Spanish (must be able to speak, read and write English and Spanish) • Some experience in conducting surveys or performing data collection.
