Position Description: San Joaquin County Public Health Services- California Children’s Services (CCS) department is seeking a motivated and dedicated professional to join their staff as an Occupational Therapist-Senior in the Medi-cal Therapy Program unit. This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced licensed occupa-tional therapist who will perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatment planning in a Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) for children ages birth to 21 years with qualifying medical conditions. The Occupational Therapist-Senior is an integral part of the CCS/MTU team, who will have the oppor-tunity to: ? Work in a culturally sensitive team- oriented environment ? Use an advanced level of clinical skill while performing a variety of occupational therapy services for an array of disabling conditions ? Work in a diverse setting while caring for the occupational therapy needs of children in San Joaquin County

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EITHER PATTERN I Experience: One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in San Joaquin County. OR PATTERN II Experience: Two years of progressively responsible experience as a licensed occupational therapist performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic occupational therapy techniques for a variety of disabling conditions. AND FOR BOTH PATTERNS License: Must possess and maintain a current license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the State of California Board of Occupational Therapy; and if required by the nature of the assignment, must also possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license.

Organization Description: -California Children’s Services- CCS is a statewide program that manages, directs, and pays for medical care, equipment, and rehabilitation when services are authorized by the program. Services can be authorized for children and young adults less than 21 years of age who have eligible medical conditions, and whose families are una-ble to pay for all or part of their care. CCS defines eligibility and selects the most qualified professionals to treat the child’s CCS-eligible condition. -Medical Therapy Program- The Medical Therapy Program (MTP) is a specialized program within CCS services that includes Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy for children ages birth to 21 years with eligi-ble conditions including: cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and mus-cular dystrophy. Therapy services are provided at outpatient rehabilitation units located in public schools in Lodi, Stockton, Manteca, and Tracy. -PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICESSan Joaquin County Public Health Services is located in Stockton, CA and is a division of the Health Care Services Agency.
