Position Description: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare, seeks a detail-oriented team oriented team-player to manage the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)- -funded cooperative agreement activities rela related to providing outreach and training to p to pediatric offices on immunization issues. This This position will disseminate immunization educ educational materials to pediatricians and form form partnerships; represent the project in a st a staff liaison capacity within and outside of t of the AAP; integrate activities with rela related efforts of other organizations; prov provide support for other programs or grants that that improve immunization rates of prac practices, particularly those awards not spec specific to childhood immunization.

Some tasks include: 1. Monitor and support AAP chapters and p practices as they implement changes to i improve immunization rates under cooperative a agreement activities, ensuring timely and e efficient achievement of program objectives. 2. Provide administrative support to the agreement’s expert team and other relevant advisory groups; follow-up on relevant relevant action items. 3. Identify and oversee consultants; execute execute and oversee subcontracts necessary to compl to complete program activities. 4. Develop and disseminate tools and resourc resources for cooperative agreement activit activities. 5. Establish and maintain relationships with C with CDC project officers and other key partne partners related to immunization. 6. Promote the availability of resou resources around cooperative agreement topic topics via Web pages, social media, and other other communication channels both internal and e and external to the AAP. 7. Attend national meetings and work clos closely with the CDC and other groups to prom promote national collaboration and avoid dupl duplication of efforts. 8. Develop and monitor the program bud budget and prepare reports, continuation app applications, and other required federal doc documents. 9. Oversee evaluation of program ac activities and assessment of overall ef effectiveness of the program. Provide an analysis of issues related to cooperative ag agreement activities.

Qualifications: Qualifications include: 1. Bachelor’s degree in health a administration, public health, nursing, or a r related discipline or an equivalent c combination of relevant education and work e experience required. 2. Two to three years’ experience in pro program coordination/management required, pre preferably in the public health or child hea health field. 3. Experience in immunization in initiatives and working with pediatricians hi highly desired. Community outreach, grants ma management, and program evaluation ex experience helpful. 4. Strong organizational, c communication, and interpersonal skills r required, as well as proficiency with MS O Office. Ability to handle heavy workload, p prioritize, work independently, manage m multiple projects simultaneously, and e effectively collaborate with various i internal and external constituents e essential. Some travel and weekend work r required.
