Position Description: A fellowship opportunity is available in the Nat National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hep Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP) at at the Centers for Disease Control and Pre Prevention in Atlanta, GA. The ORISE fellow wil will work in the Communications, Education, and and Behavioral Studies Branch (CEBSB) within the the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination (DT (DTBE).

Specific activities may include: -Aiding the development of question guides a and protocols for key informant interviews a and focus groups -Assisting with the conducting of key i information interviews and focus groups -Helping to transcribe interview and focus g group discussions -Preparing transcripts for qualitative data a analysis -Participating in data analyses -Assisting in drafting and reviewing i internal documents and reports -Presenting findings and recommendations at national forums and in peer-reviewed journals -Contributing to formative research efforts a and communications for behavioral change -Supporting message testing efforts around t tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis i infection testing and treatment for high r risk groups -Participating in Branch and Team meetings -Maintaining communication with project lead leaders

This fellow will be engaged with Branch le leadership and project staff. Opportunities fo for networking with subject matter experts wi will be made available. The initial ap appointment is for one year, but may be re renewed for an additional year upon re recommendation of CDC contingent on the av availability of funds. The participant will re receive a monthly stipend commensurate with ed educational level and experience. Proof of he health insurance is required for pa participation in this program. Participants do do not become employees of CDC and there are no no fringe benefits paid.

Qualifications: The fellow should have a Master’s (earned within past five years) in one or more of the behavioral or social sciences. Proficiency in collecting and analyzing qualitative data is required. Some experience working in a public health or clinical setting is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
