Position Description: Ability to adapt to schedule changes and maintain flexibility, Strong ability to interact with diverse groups and cultures, Identify at-risk populations for a variety of healthcare issues maintaining contact through periodic education programs and coordination of risk reduction programming with other agencies/organizations, Complete all prevention activity sheets to document completion of the program as assigned; reschedule/cancellation form if program is rescheduled or cancelled. The Health Educator’s signature verifies the validity and accuracy of the information contained therein, Collect sign-in sheets for all programs conducted and turn in to the Division Manager of Community Education, Demonstrate attention to detail when completing activity sheets and required reports, Submit required program documentation in accordance with policy and procedures, Ability to work weekends and evenings, Ability to travel to program/event locations, Network with other organizations and agencies that also work with the target population in order to provide information and make referrals ,Provide Pre and Post Test Education and Counseling for the HIV antibody test Hepatitis C screening test and STI Testing, Administer OraQuick non-invasive HIV HIV tests, Hepatitis C Quick Test and complete pertine pertinent paperwork, Educate clients/patients and the communities at large in the area of safer sex, HIV/AIDS and general communicable disease prevention, needle safety, healthy living and other issues, invasive HIV tests, Hepatitis C Quick Test and complete pertinent paperwork, Educate clients/patients and the communities at large in the area of safer sex, HIV/AIDS and general communicable disease prevention, needle safety, healthy living and other issues, Perform any other department or agency related duties or special projects.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Social Work or other people related field, Two years experience in Public Speaking. College course work related to this area may be considered as a part of this requirement, Basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C preferred, Must have valid Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance.
