Position Description: This position is a Pay Band 75 Why does the job exist? This position will provide management and supervision of the tribal, law enforcement, and PMP-HER coordinators. This position will work with insurance companies to implement key aspects of the CDC prescribing guidelines through the third-party payer mechanisms such as prior authorization and drug formularies, while assuring that alternate types of pain management treatment are eligible for coverage. The position will also work to increase the availability and coverage of naloxone and medication-assisted tre treatment (MAT) and expand fee schedule rei reimbursement. How does it get done? Work with Medicaid and Insurance companies to implement key aspects of the CDC prescribing guidelines through third-party payer mechanisms, such as prior authorization, drug formularies, and expanding fee schedule reimbursements and ensure that alternate types of pain management treatment are eligible for coverage. Work with the Medical Assistance Division to collect pharmacy naloxone data to verify Medicaid coverage of naloxone. improve pharmacy billing practices, and ensure reasonable and adequate pharmacy reimbursement. Increase access to naloxone by providing technical assistance to pharmacies and third party payers regarding the DOH Standing Order, payment options, and billing practices. Negotiate and prepare contracts for the contracts for the training of pharmacies regarding naloxone and billing practices, monitor contract at least monthly, ensure that invoices are processed in a timely manner, and review performance documents. Coordinate with third-party payers to increase the availability and coverage of medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Provide management and supervision of the tribal, law enforcement, and PMP-EHR coordin coordinators. Who are the customers? The customers are DOH staff, rug overdose prev prevention program staff, substance abuse sect section epidemiologists, Human Services Depa Department staff, CDC Staff, Insurance comp companies, Managed Care Organizations, and phar pharmacies. Qualifications: Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology and/or Family Studies/Services and four (4) years of any combination of experience including working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health and/or health care.
