Position Description: CCI is seeking a DLS Web Developer to support the current systems within the Division of Laboratory Systems (DLS) in the Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services (CSELS) of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. Primary Responsibilities: • Review current systems

• Recommend system improvements

• Develop cost proposals as needed

• Work closely with Health Communication analysts, designers and staff to develop content

• Produce detailed specifications and requirements

• Product testing in controlled, real situations before going live

• Prepare training manuals and user documentation

• Maintain systems upon release

• Write program code

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field appropriate to the work of the position (Computer Science, Information Technology or related field);

• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in web development and maintenance

• Experience using all aspects of a Web Content Management Systems (WCMS), including, but not limited to: Percussion and WordPress

• Experience of .Net C# programming 3.5 and up

• Knowledge of SQL Server 2012 and 2016 database scripting o Stored Procedures o Views (plus) o Cursors (plus) o Queries

• SQL Server maintenance: o Password updates o Script updates and optimization o Index creation

• 2-4 years’ experience in website programming – C#, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Responsive Design

• Data analytical experience with Adobe Analytics and generating metric reports

• Experience developing front-end web pages using XHTML, HTMLS, CSS3, XSLT, Javascript and JQuery with WordPress WCMS

• Create Project Management documentation deliverables and diagrams

• Experience utilizing RESTful technologies a plus

• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) • Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Extremely detail-oriented and skilled in quality assurance of output

• Ability to independently problem- solve, yet know when to ask for help

• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment

• Ability to respond effectively to changing events and competing priorities with quick turnaround times
