Position Description: Purpose: Develops, implements and directs the operation of the agency’s licensed and certified behavioral health treatment services including: all administrative matters, individual care services and meeting all applicable laws, rules, policies, and ethical standards. The work scope of this position includes director responsibilities, fiscal duties, management and physician supervision, and community linkage responsibilities. Serves as a member of the Spokane Regional Health District’s Executive Management Team and the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (PHEPR) Team.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: ?Master’s degree involving major study in public health, public administration, or a related field appropriate for the Division. A Bachelor’s degree with six years of health management experience as described below may be substituted for the Master’s degree.

Required Experience: ?Five years full time experience management/supervision of alcohol/drug treatment program utilizing group therapy processes or management experience in public health or in a mid- to large-sized pro professional health agency, including sup supervisory responsibility for varied tec technical and administrative staff.

Required Licensure/Certification: Current Chemical Dependency Professional Certification in the State of Washington or ability to obtain Washington State certification within 4 months. Applicants credentialed in another state can be certified in Washington State without taking the required exam if the other state’s credentialing standards are equivalent to those in Washington State.
