Position Description: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare, seeks a Research Associate to manage scientific operations of research activities for assigned studies, analyze data, and provide professional support for research activities in the AAPs practice-based research network, Pediatric Research in Research in Office Settings (PROS).

Tasks include: 1.Manage the development and execution of research research projects by the PROS network. 2.Provide oversight and support for the develop development of proposals for future funding, continu continuation applications, progress reports, and oth and other materials as assigned. 3.Develop, oversee and maintain data and proces process management systems and manage PROS projec projects as assigned to ensure scientific and fi and financial integrity and progress of these these efforts. 4.Develop and manage comprehensive commu communication plans to maximize recruitment and r and retention of participants in PROS studi studies. 5.Establish and maintain effective comm communications with Fellows and other PROS inve investigators on project work. 6.Oversee activities to ensure ongoing com compliance of assigned studies with the Hea Health Insurance Portability and Acc Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and Ins Institutional Review Board (IRB) req requirements for assigned projects. 7.Develop, oversee and maintain systems to tr track status of contracts, budgets, and ex expenses for assigned projects and ensure co compliance with funder and federal re requirements. 8.Develop, execute and present results of s statistical analyses for selected projects. 9.Prepare scientific products for peer-reviewed journals and professional research meetings and represent the network and/or division at these meetings as appropriate. 10. Develop agendas and materials for PROS research meetings and attend/present at these meetings. 11. Train and supervise assigned staff. 12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Qualifications Needed:

1.Master’s degree in s social/behavioral/clinical sciences, public h health, business, or related discipline r required. 2.Three years of clinical/public health or social science research experience required, including research project management, all aspects of research planning and data analysis, and some peer-reviewed research p products. Supervisory experience preferred. 3.In-depth understanding of all phases of re research required, as well as excellent co communication, analytic and organizational sk skills. Proficiency with MS Office and ex experience with database (i.e.: Access) and st statistical software (i.e.: SAS, SPSS) re required. 4.Must be able to work collaboratively in a m multidisciplinary setting. Interest in a v variety of child health research issues p preferred. Some evening/weekend work and t travel required.
