Position Description: Responsibilities The Program Coordinator will have responsibilities related to “Ending the Epidemic” initiatives, specifically ending the HIV and hepatitis C epidemics, as well as harm reduction initiatives. Responsibilities will involve planning, developing, and managing the work of the advisory bodies associated with these initiatives. Responsibilities will include assisting in managing all aspects of the ETE subcommittee and work groups, the hepatitis C elimination task force, and the harm reduction task force; participating in planning the meetings and activities of the advisory bodies; assisting in establishing agendas and priorities; staffing the advisory bodies; coordinating recommendations received from the bodies and the public; overseeing the development and ongoing management of the plans developed by the bodies; and managing the ongoing involvement of community stakeholders. This responsibility will involve working closely with and incorporating the recommendations of program managers in the planning and advisory process. The Program Coordinator will also have responsibilities related to strategic planning, assisting in policy development/analysis, and special projects.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three years of experience in the conduct or administration of a public health, health regulatory or human service related program; OR an Associate's degree in a relevant field and five years; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for one year of general experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of/experience with hepatitis C. Knowledge of/experience with HIV. Knowledge of/experience with harm reduction. Experience/expertise in managing large projects involving multiple parties. Experience managing task forces/advisory bodies. Excellent communication skills. Planning experience. Facilitation skills. Ability to work independently.
