Michigan State University, Pediatric Public Health Initiative is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator for a child health and development screening and assessment project. This project is in collaboration with the Flint Registry. All children exposed to Flint water during the Flint Water Crisis will have an opportunity to be screened for health and development outcomes and be referred for further assessment and services. The child screening questionnaires will be completed by caregivers in- person, online, or by telephone.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale projects and demonstrate strong data management and organizational skills. The Child Screening Project Coordinator will manage project logistics and ensure adherence to the child screening protocol.
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the child screening protocol * Assist with the maintenance of protocol documents * Assist with staff training of child screening questionnaires * Track and report recruitment, enrollment, referral, and follow-up metrics * Ensure screening protocol compliance of child questionnaires * Maintain and improve quality assurance procedures * Develop data quality metrics * Score child screening questionnaires and triage for review * Assist with referrals to services and follow-up with participants * Compile reports * Communicate with project staff and community stakeholders (e.g. schools and service providers) * Schedule, coordinate, and lead staff meetings * Other duties as assigned or required for the project
The project coordinator will work closely with the Flint Registry, Neurodevelopmental Center of Excellence, and local schools. This is an off-date position funded until 7/31/2019 with possible extension contingent upon funding renewal.
*Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired in a four year college degree; three to five years of related and progressively more expansive work experience in a field related to the position including planning and managing projects; experience working with children or families; communications content management (written, verbal, digital) experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation, calendaring software, desktop publishing and/or project management software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
