Position Description: This is a contract position with the CDC's Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP). Responsibilities include: • Develop graphical user interfaces for web-based systems. • Provide appropriate skillsets aiding in all phases of web development from evaluation, analysis and design to development and subsequently ongoing maintenance and related customer service. • Provide programming skillsets to be used in standard approaches for client websites, blogs, and email listservs (e.g., Gov Delivery notifications). • Run link scans of websites under review (between 10—16) once a month to assure that they are no broken links or errors. • Test, check, debug, revise, and refine websites under review (approximately 10—16) as required to produce the deliverables required by written specifications and in accordance with client and Section 508 guidelines. • Close caption all videos and videos utilized externally to compile with client’s 508 compliancy guidelines. • Document all procedures used throughout the program to allow the program to be run as part of a system, and completes systems documentation to enable a subsequent programmer to make changes as may be required. • Revise existing programs to make refinements, increase operating efficiency or improve present techniques. • Provide expertise in the design and layout of graphical fact sheets, newsletters, and communication materials, as well as user interfaces in the MS.Net development environment. • Work with a variety of multi- media such as flash animation and use of various players.

Qualifications: • U.S. citizenship is mandatory • Proficient in HTML, CSS, jQuery/javaScript, XML, Visual Studio, XAML/WPF ASP, JSP, .NET • Must have experience with Section 508 compliance • Experience with internet technologies and Web Content Management Systems such as Drupal, Percussion, and Wordpress • Experience with cloud-based development of data visualizations • Experience with the principles and use of social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter to market to large audiences • Experience in agile or iterative development methodologies • Experience working on teams and projects that require interaction with other staff • Experience working with a federal agency is a plus • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
