Position Description: Responsibilities The Health Program Coordinator I will be responsible for various budgetary, personnel, administrative and supervisory functions. Duties will include, but are not limited to, providing overall administrative oversight to the project and assuring implementation of the program and evaluation plans; supervision of project team staff and compliance with all HRI/State guidelines for supervision (timesheets, evaluations, etc.); ensuring compliance with grant deliverables; assisting in revising and implementing the programs data collection protocol and analyzing data; assuring timely submission of quarterly and annual reports; identifying o9ppo9rtunities for replication; developing program policies, procedures, and standards; overseeing the establishment of contracts to meet program needs and participating in select grantor meetings. The incumbent will act as liaison to other agencies and organizations as they are involved in the program (e.g., NYS of Health, community contractors) as well as other state and federal partners including the New York State Minority Health Council. This position includes the direct supervision of staff and/or students. Travel will be required.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three years of experience in the conduct or administration of a public health, health regulatory or human service related program; OR an Associate's degree and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of general experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing support and guidance to public health programs which may include medical care facilities, provider, and local health departments; supporting collaborative relationships; ensuring compliance with contractual requirements; involvement in a wide variety of public health outreach, prevention, referral, case and contract management, and education activities. The candidate should also have experience providing technical assistance to grant- funded programs/projects; collecting and reviewing data; preparing written reports and publications; working with coalitions and/or stakeholder groups; providing training and other presentations; and working with diverse groups of partners. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience developing publications. Experience with Microsoft Office software applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
