Position Description: The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting to fill an HIV Care Supervisor position within the HIV Program in Madison, Wisconsin. Michael McFadden, the current HIV Care Supervisor, is retiring after 30 years with the HIV Program. The application process is currently open for the new HIV Care Supervisor and is set to close on October 17, 2018. The HIV Care Supervisor is responsible for developing and directing a statewide system of HIV Care Programs for the Wisconsin Division of Public Health, including the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), the Insurance Assistance Program (IAP), and federal Ryan White and state funded care and support services provided by local agencies. The The HIV Care Supervisor will provide direct supervision to staff that is responsible for implementing various HIV Programs.

Qualifications: This position requires the following: • Experience with public health programs an and services specifically related to communicable diseases such as HIV infection, STDs, or hepatitis C infection, etc. • Experience with strategic planning such as: development of goals and objectives; program work plans, staff resources, and prioritization; funding deliverables; program evaluation/implementation, etc. • Supervisory or leadership experience performing duties such as leading a multidisciplinary team, reviewing work of others, hiring/disciplining staff, training, etc. • Experience providing consultation/guidance or technical assistance to local health departments, organizations, agencies, and/or internal and external stakeholders. • Strong oral communication skills. In addition, well-qualified candidates will have: • Experience with the preparation and submission of federal reports, grant applications, and/or contracts. • Experience with public health systems and services, specifically related to HIV infection. • Experience with health insurances coverage, including private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and the ACA Marketplace.

Organization Description: Department of Health Services is located at 1 West Wilson Street in the heart of downtown Madison, near the State Capitol, the Madison Metro route and the Capital City bike path. In addition, there are plenty of nearby restaurants, shopping venues, and the Wednesday farmer's market.
