Position Description: Responsibilities The Senior Health Program Coordinator will be located in the Bureau of Occupational Health and Injury Prevention and will perform duties with Community-based Drug User Health Hubs to Reduce Opioid Overdoses in NY State. The incumbent will work closely with other programs within the NYSDOH, university researchers, Drug User Health Hubs and Syringe Exchange programs. This position will assist with the collection of data and ensure research protocols are followed appropriately. The incumbent will be responsible for, coordinating recruitments and collection of data from six sites; conducting performance and outcome measures for recruitments; tracking, monitoring, and reporting on the progress of the research project; assisting with development of research questionnaires; other related duties as assigned. Travel throughout NYS will be required 25 - 50% of the time.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience in outcome-oriented program coordination, community outreach and partner engagement in a public health or human services related program; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. A valid Driver's License that is in good standing. Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge and understanding of human subjects research and the IRB process • Preferred experience with SAS, Word, Excel, Powerpoint • Experience with survey development, implementation and analysis • Experience with conducting public health surveys and using data to assess the effectiveness of public health initiatives. • Experience in developing and operationalizing performance and outcome measures. • Ability to develop, organize, motivate and coordinate groups across disciplines and programs • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience preparing reports on program progress
