Position Description: The Mount Sinai Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Project Manager to join our Research Division. Our department, which is currently ranked third in the nation with respect to National Institutes of Health (NIH) research funding, offers a stimulating and collegial work environment. The successful candidate will be a collaborative individual with clinical research and project management experience and outstanding communication skills. S/He will be highly organized and self-motivated, and and will have a high degree of flexibility and and willingness to undertake multiple job req requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

Assisting the faculty in the planning and execution of research protocols, overseeing data collection and conducting data analyses, ensuring compliance with IRB requirements; training and supervising research assistants and field staff; liaison with funding agency including preparation of reports; coordinating the various stages of development of the projects; building and maintaining relationships between community partners and academic personnel; providing administrative support for meetings, recruitment activities and training activities; administering project funds, and assuring timely completion of project activities.

Qualifications: Masters Degree (MA, MS, MPH or MPA) required wit with at least 2 years of professional res research project management experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and C Characteristics: • Previous experience in clinical or health s services research • Familiarity with NIH budgeting and r reporting procedures • Excellent administrative and o organizational skills • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain p programmatic and administrative priorities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Familiarity with database (e.g. REDCap) a and statistical software (SPSS, SAS, or S STATA) • Strength and effectiveness in written and v verbal communication • Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork a and networking skills • Cultural competence and professionalism
