Position Description: To address the disproportionate rates of new HIV infections among gay and bisexual men of color, other men of color who have sex with men, youth of color ages 13- 24, and transgender persons of color and health disparities within the HIV prevention system in Philadelphia, PDPH has designed a new project, DExIS (Demonstrating Expanded Interventional Surveillance: Towards Ending the HIV Epidemic in Philadelphia). DeXIS builds on the PDPH’s existing surveillance and disease investigation capabilities to identify and address missed opportunities for HIV prevention. DExIS will 1) utilize HIV surveillance data to identify sentinel cases of recently HIV-infected individuals; 2) Conduct standardized confidential interviews and medical/prevention chart abstraction of the sentinel cases to determine missed opportunities for HIV testing and prevention services such as Pre-exposure prophylaxis; 3) Identify patterns of missed opportunities through, regular, structured, inter-disciplinary Case Review Team (CRT); 4) Implement actionable recommendations based on system-level analysis of project program data and performance evaluation by a project-specific Community Action Team (CAT); and 5) Collaborate with funded agencies for community mobilization to implement action steps of the CAT. The Project Coordinator is responsible for oversight of DExIS. The DExIS Project Coordinator will also work with Health Department and external stakeholders collaboratively to identify needs, develop policy recommendations, and improve Health Department HIV prevention system delivery for key populations most impacted by HIV. The employee will report to the Prevention Coordinator.

Qualifications: *Skills: Policy development, Ability to interprety data, Ability to present ideas effectively; both orally and in writing Ability to multi-task Critical thinking Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work with populations of diverse backgrounds Knowledge of current HIV issues Supervisory skills Extensive knowledge and familiarity with culturally responsive and gender affirming health and social services for gay and bisexual men and transgender persons of color Knowledge of High Impact HIV Prevention Knowledge of PrEP/ PEP best practices Ability to read/ review and summarize HIV prevention literature and publications for management *Experience: Demonstrated experience managing complex projects One year expiernece in HIV-related field Demonstrated experience working with medical providers and medical charts *Education Requirement: MPH or related Master's level preferred Minimum Bachelor's Degree with at least two years of commensurate experience
