Position Description: A post-doctoral fellowship is available at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. The fellowship will provide advanced training in epidemiologic methods and experience in health services research as well as the conduct of prospective cohort studies to prepare fellows for positions in academia, government, or private industry.

To be considered, prospective Fellows must have experience in epidemiologic methods, manuscript preparation with at least five publications (three or more first author), and either SAS or STATA. Knowledge of traumatic brain injury and/or sleep disorders would be helpful. Training includes mentored research, manuscript and grant-writing, and teaching experiences. It may also include coursework in advanced epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, and patient centered outcomes research.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vita, a pdf of a published first author publication, and two letters of recommendation. Review of applications will start immediately. Finalist interviews will take place on-site in Baltimore following telephone screening interviews.

Qualifications: This position requires knowledge of SAS, Stata, or R and strong skills in quantitative analysis and study design. Those with a PhD, ScD, or DrPH in epidemiology, health policy, social sciences, or health services research are strongly encouraged to apply. Excellent communication, organizational, inter- personal, and time-management skills are a must. A minimum of five publications (three or more first author) is required.
