Position Description: The University of South Florida College of Public Health invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean of Faculty Recruitment and Relations. This is a faculty administrator position reporting to the Vice Dean for Education and Faculty Affairs. Duties include, but are not limited to, the recruitment of all ranked faculty and instructors, tenure earning and non-tenure earning including managing search processes and negotiating with selected candidates; oversight of new faculty on-boarding and orientation; serving as the Dean’s designee as the initial point of contact for faculty relations matters; development of faculty related procedures and programs; oversight of the annual promotion and tenure process, as well as the mid-tenure and mid-promotion processes; and, oversight of the annual faculty assignment and evaluation processes.

Closing Date: Position will remain open until filled. Review of applications will begin January 4, 2018.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Master’s in Business, Psychology, Education Leadership or related field. Ten years of professional-level experience in faculty affairs or academic human resources in an accredited University that includes the recruitment of ranked faculty and development of faculty related policies, procedures and programs, ensuring compliance with University, State and Federal laws, regulations and rules. Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years of the above referenced experiences at the Vice Presidential/Provost or College level. Demonstrated customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Federal Wage and Hour and Employment Laws, Discrimination and Equal Opportunity Laws. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
