Purpose: The Division of HIV and STD Pro Programs and the HIV and STD Surveillance and and Epidemiology Section have multiple cross cut cutting projects. A project facilitator is nee needed to organize, facilitate, track, and fol follow up on the progress of projects that inc include personnel from multiple units and mul multiple databases. This position will pri primarily be in Lansing with travel to Det Detroit as needed (est. 1 day per week).
Duties and Responsibilities: • Be familiar with procedures, objectives, outcomes, and participants involved in inter/intradepartmental projects including, but not limited to Data to PrEP, L Link Up Michigan/Detroit, and Shared HIV N Networks. • Identify resource requirements. • Plan, attend, and facilitate m meetings regarding inter/intradepartmental p projects. • Follow up with staff to ensure t timelines are followed. • Document progress. • Document and report to management i instances of conflicting and redundant r requirements and data collection tools and r recommend solutions. • Deliver projects on time. • Work with department staff c continuously to ensure that what is d delivered meets the needs and requirements. • Evaluate the process and outcomes to p provide feedback for future iterations of p protocols and data collection tools • Be familiar with staff roles and i inter/intradepartmental projects to connect r resources. • Assist with development, o organization, and maintenance of the team S SharePoint site. • Assist in project scope management. • Communicating (written and verbally) c clearly and effectively with end users, m managers and other team members. • Represent the best interest of MPHI a and MDHHS at all times. • Other duties are assigned.
Education: Required: College degree or equi equivalent experience and education.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in pr program/project coordination.
Important Skills and Characteristics: Organized and detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to facilitate teams of employees working under different managers and in different locations. Must be self-motivated, ab able to complete work in a timely manner, an and handle multiple tasks with minimal su supervision. Critical thinking skills. Pr Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e (especially Excel), email, and internet br browser software are required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment of <25# and involves viewing a CRT or VDT screen 70% to 90% of the time and responding to data requests and helpdesk inquires. Requires valid vehicle operator’s license where needed to perform duties of the position. Frequent deadlines. In-state and out-of- state travel for related meetings.
