Position Description: The individual will primarily work on a novel IDE study that employs the use of an intravascular resuscitative technique (REBOA) in the setting of medical (i.e. non-traumatic) cardiac arrest. With a high degree of independence and limited supervision, assists PI and Co- Investigators with implementation, coordination of all aspects of various research projects which includes management of staff; data collections and analyses; preparing reports, presentations and publications; and serving as liaison for internal and external providers. Responsible for preparing Institutional Review Board protocols, amendments and annual reporting for departmental research. Provides overall departmental support on all new and existing research projects; data collection and analyses; preparation of slides, posters, abstracts and manuscript; completion of progress reporting; execution of grant submissions; and ability to coordinate annual research conference. May perform other duties as assigned. Please note that this is a 1 year fixed duration position.

Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in a related discipline and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications: • Proven ability conducting and supporting all phases of research in a clinical environment including data management and analyses. Ability to multi- task in challenging clinical environment (cardiac arrest). • Ability to coordinate tasks between multiple members of a diverse clinical team at two different enrollment sites (i.e. emergency medicine, vascular surgery, cardiology at Yale and UC Davis). • Demonstrated self-motivation, independence, consistency and reliability, including excellent attendance and punctuality. Proven ability to be extremely organized, detailed orientated and a strong communicator. • Proven ability to effectively, efficiently and independently work under pressure, and to set priorities among multiple competing tasks. Excellent oral/written communication and leadership skills. • Preferred Education and Experience: Ability to work with FDA regulators on an IDE/IND study. Experience in a clinical setting as a clinical technician, RN, and/or clinical research is preferred. Excellent grant-writing skills (prior experience preferred). Understanding and working knowledge of FDA IDE/IND study requirements.
