Purpose: The Research Associate position participates in all aspects of program evaluation, research design and implementation, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting and dissemination for projects that involve public health-related assessment, research, and e and evaluation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluation & Research Project Activities: • Independently applies research and evaluation frameworks within community-based s settings, including research design, q qualitative and quantitative data collection m methods, data analysis, and reporting. • Leads the development of qualitative a and quantitative data collection protocols a and instruments, as well as data collection p processes and management procedures, i including monitoring and quality assurance w within varying study designs. • Supports the construction of e evaluation plans, data analysis plans, and i is proficient in performing and interpreting b both qualitative and quantitative analyses, i including descriptive, inferential, and m multivariate statistics. • Participates in preparing project-related technical reports, study briefs, manuscripts, presentations, trainings, and other written materials as needed.

Supporting Community Partners: • Assists in the development, design, and creation of products that support community partners with implementing community-based research and evaluation, p performance management, quality improvement, a and community assessment. • Independently plans and leads p presentations and facilitation activities, a as appropriate. • Provides project collaborators and c community partners personalized training and t technical assistance in evaluation, data c collection, and performance management. • Exercises professionalism, skill, and and comfort in interfacing with community par partners, clients and potential clients.
Project Development Responsibilities: • Remains current on literature in a areas that are relevant to the program and c current projects. • Participates in project development a activities, including the identification, c conceptualization, writing and production of p proposals. • Conducts and writes literature r reviews to inform proposals. • Creates and nurtures relationships wit with partners and identifies opportunities for for collaboration on new projects.
Administrative/MPHI Responsibilities: • Assists in development and i implementation of project work plans, p preparation of IRB application materials, t timelines, and reports as needed. • Travels as needed both in-state and out-of-state. • Presents project results and p participates in project meetings as needed. • Maintains a positive, strong, c credible, professional interpersonal r relationship with all parties of MPHI p projects, and represents the best interest o of MPHI at all times. • Other duties as assigned.
Education: Minimum Master’s degree in pu public health, family studies, human ec ecology, evaluation measurement and re research, childhood development, community ps psychology, sociology, social work, or re relevant social science discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in evaluation and/or community-based research, including methodological design, data collection, database management, statistical analysis, technical report writing, and dissemination.
