Position Description: The County of San Diego is seeking a dynamic le leader with a passion for building healthy co communities. This is a unique opportunity fo for a California licensed eligible physician to to work for County of San Diego Public He Health Services, nationally accredited by th the Public Health Accreditation Board.

Qualifications: Applicants must possess the following:

1. A valid license to practice medicine in t the State of California before employment; A AND, 2. A doctor of medicine degree from an acc accredited U.S. college or university, or a cer certified foreign studies equivalency med medical school AND, five years of experience tha that demonstrates the ability to perform the ess essential functions of the classification. Exp Experience must include four years of man management level experience and at least one yea year of supervision in a public health pro program or community medicine.

Note: A masters in public health from an a accredited U.S. college or university, or a c certified foreign studies equivalency is h highly desirable and may substitute for a t total of one (1) year of experience and c cannot be applied to the required one year o of supervision. Board certification is h highly desirable. Physicians that qualify a and have applied for licensure from the C California Medical Board may submit their l license at time of appointment.
