Assists the Public Health and Medical Preparedness Coordinator in working with staff and community agencies to develop emergency response plans.
Manages purchasing for Public Health and Medical Preparedness program; maintains tracking system for inventory of emergency supplies.
Performs major office functions including maintaining distribution lists; making meeting arrangements; taking minutes at meetings; preparing meeting minutes; data gathering; research; maintaining work-related databases and preparing reports.
Receives, reviews for proper compliance, and acknowledges submissions of Comprehensive Emergency Management Plans for Home Health Care Providers licensed in Monroe County.
Trains employees on proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and conducts Fit testing of employees.
Maintains information on employees related to preparedness including emergency notification contact information, emergency duty job descriptions and incident related databases and preparing reports.
Manages the Lean on Me volunteer program that provides one-on-one emergency planning assistance to vulnerable community members.
Coordinates Monroe County participation in regional preparedness exercises including the Citi Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI).
Routinely monitors community and partner organizational status systems and weather related emergency tracking.
Assists in preparation of grants, reports and presentations. presentations.
Provides administrative support to the Public Health and Medical Preparedness Program Manager.
Certification of Acknowledgement - This position is in compliance with and monitors compliance (when applicable) of the mandatory requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 3A-24, Florida Administrative Code.
Performs incident response duties as assigned.
